So we headed to the seawall, decanter and glasses in hand.

Please note the freshly harvested buckeye and the swan food on the bistro table. The Quilceda Creek was really good.

The swan showed up unexpectedly. Dorothea hurried upstairs for some bird food. The swan was okay with the bread, but didn't seem overly excited; probably gets better stuff from others on the lake. It was fun to see the bird up close, and it only hissed loudly once!
We had such an enjoyable time that we kind of ignored the empanadas (lamb, pork, beef, potatoes, jalapeƱos, sebollas packed in a crust, with pork stock gravy) and the bottoms got a bit crispy. And, unfortunately, the wine was so good by the sea wall that there really wasn't a whole bunch remaining for the dinner. It still worked, though.

Sounds like a great evening!
Hope we can make it back soon enough to catch another amazing sight out your back door! I'm envious!
